Mark Turrell is the founder and CEO of Orcasci, a strategy and marketing agency specializing in designing programs that ‘spread’ products, services, ideas and behaviors. Orcasci’s toolset for the Science of Spread^TM leverages scientific concepts and social networking technology to help you get people engaged and deliver change. Its unique approach rapidly achieves impressive results, drawing on insights from neuroscience, behavioral science, network science, collective intelligence and innovation.

Mark is passionate about helping people change the world for better and is keen on finding ways to spread and scale good things faster. With Orcasci he has worked on projects as diverse as elections, smoking cessation, and motion picture marketing.

Mark is the co-founder of Imaginatik, a firm that pioneered the use of collective intelligence and crowdsourcing techniques for corporations, with a special focus on innovation. During his sixteen years at Imaginatik, Mark worked with hundreds of companies around the world. His clients included Merck, Pfizer, Chevron, Dow Chemical, Nokia, IBM, Whirlpool, Weyerhaeuser and Xerox. As well as consulting with clients – and managing the business – he lead the firm’s research activities, publishing many research reports, articles and speaking at conferences around the world.

Mark was nominated as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in 2008, and a Young Global Leader in 2010. He has been a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, through his work at Imaginatik.

Personal

Mark was born in Toronto, Canada. His parents are South African. He has lived most his life in England, as well as large stints in Paris, Berlin, Boston, San Francisco, Johannesburg and the French Alps.

Mark likes reading, especially business topics (although also interesting fiction and business history books). He actually enjoys travel and likes to visit cities often. In his spare time, Mark writes concept outlines for books, TV shows and movies.

Egon started Matterhorn Asset Management (MAM) in 1999 as a private investment company. From the very beginning, wealth preservation was an important cornerstone of the company. Already back in early 2002, we were of the opinion that financial and economic risk in the world was getting uncomfortably high. So that year we made substantial investments in the physical gold market at $300 average. We recommended to our clients/partners to invest at least 25% and up to 50% of financial assets into physical gold. With global risk considerably higher today, we believe that an important exposure to physical gold is critical.

As gold started to rise in the early 2000s, demand for physical gold increased and in 2005 we set up a regulated company in Zurich – Matterhorn Asset Management AG. A couple of years later we formed GoldSwitzerland which is the precious metals division of MAM.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Born with dual Swiss/Swedish citizenship, Egon’s education was mainly in Sweden. He started his working life in Geneva as a banker and thereafter spent 17 years as Finance Director and Executive Vice-Chairman of Dixons Group Plc. During that time, Dixons expanded from a small photographic retailer to a FTSE 100 company and the largest consumer electronics retailer in the UK.

Since the 1990s Egon has been actively involved with financial investment activities including mergers and acquisitions and asset allocation consultancy for private family funds. This led to the creation of MAM an asset management company based on wealth preservation principles. MAM is now the World’s leading company for physical gold and silver outside the banking system, directly owned by the investor. Our four vaults include the biggest and safest gold vault in the world, located in the Swiss Alps. Clients are High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices, Pension Funds, Investment Funds and Trusts in over 52 countries.

Egon makes regular media appearances and speaks at investment conferences around the world. He also publishes articles on precious metals, the world economy and wealth preservation.

A dedicated change agent and rainmaker, Dianne is a seasoned commercial-legal senior executive, dealmaker, and sustainable values-based business- & partnerships builder with a focus on structuring, collaboration, governance & integrity, transaction execution, investments and the SDGs. Dianne has been serving mainly the ICT, legal, financial services and the VC & investment industry (including impact investing & NPL). Early 2017 she joined the blockchain space whereas DLT leverages powerful solutions for the Global Grand Challenges.

Based in the Swiss Crypto Valley, Dianne is professionally and personally strongly engaged in the global blockchain ecosystem and the impact investing space. Also she leads the Crypto Valley Blockchain4Good Initiative, and is a founding member of the Investments working group at the Crypto Valley Association. Furthermore she co-chairs the Silicon Valley Blockchain Society Switzerland (SVBS) and is strongly engaged in a variety of women empowerment projects. Dianne is a speaker, a juror and a mentor at various mentoring, blockchain accelerator and impact programs in the US and Switzerland.

Before joining various newtech-projects as board member, general counsel and COO/corporate development expert in residence Dianne was an interim sr executive at IOHK/Cardano and a sr member of the Swiss MME Legal blockchain team where she advised (pre/post) ICOs and other blockchain-related projects. Also she was GC Europe at a US listed investment corporation, Manager/Attorney M&A at Andersen Legal, Sr Executive at various family offices and Head of Legal at one of the largest Dutch listed ICT-firms.

Dianne is a Dutch attorney and holds a Master`s Law degree from Utrecht University and an MBA from Twente Technical University (NL). Furthermore, Dianne is an artist and a philanthropist and she chairs a Swiss charity which empowers and creates livelihoods for marginalised women in Jordan and S. Africa.
